The girl behind the brand.
What started as 4C Hair Co. with M.B.O. & Luster UnLoc’d Drops has evolved into Mahrjani, the same trusted formula, same packaging, now under a name that reflects the story behind it.
I could give you the polished intro, degrees, titles, all that. But honestly… I simply love hair, everything about it. Straight, curly, coily, wigs, color, if it grows or installs, I’m into it. The truth? I was putting more into styling my hair than actually caring for it.
Living in Arizona didn’t help. Dryness, brittleness, even thinning in certain areas. And those “protective styles”? They weren’t doing much protecting. It became clear that I needed to be more intentional about how I cared for my hair.
One night, I was up talking with my mom. She was noticing similar changes with her hair, influenced by menopause, which can bring on dryness, thinning, increased shedding, and even changes in texture as hormones start to shift. As a master barber who has owned barber shops and spent over 35 years in the beauty and barber industry, she has seen it all, not just with herself, but with her clients as well,their hair and their beards,often saying that men should take better care of their hair too.
We started talking about all the products we buy that don’t actually help, and sometimes even do more harm than good. That’s when the idea came to create something of our own, made with natural, organic ingredients that truly support healthy hair. That’s how Mahrjani began, Crafted in the kitchen, driven by a commitment to healthier hair from scalp to ends.

Mahrjani was born from love and from the realization that the products we were using did not truly care for our hair or our health. So we returned to what does, the earth. We crafted a formula with Batana Oil, Organic Olive Oil, Pomegranate, Jojoba, Black Castor, Amla, and other pure, nutrient-rich ingredients that work like a daily multivitamin for your hair, without harsh chemicals or compromise.
We didn’t just create it, we used it. I committed to a routine, massaging the oils into my scalp and working it through from root to ends, paying attention to what my hair actually needed. Over time, I began to see the difference. It worked, not overnight, but through consistency, and that’s what made it real for me.
But healthy hair is more than what you put on it. It is how you live. It is nourishing your body, being active, incorporating natural herbs and supplements, and caring for your hair consistently. It is addressing dryness, brittleness, dandruff, and scalp health with intention, not neglect.
Let’s be honest, most people have several products in their cabinet, yet rarely use one consistently; when products are constantly mixed together, how is it possible to know what works, what doesn’t, or how your hair and scalp are truly responding?
We do not believe in shortcuts or empty promises. Growth comes from care, from consistency, and from choosing what truly supports you. I’m excited to share this formula and this experience with others who may be going through the same things, because I’ve seen what consistency can do.
